First Gen Blue Line 100 x 75

I have long been a fan of Berry Blue line but always wondered why they called it blue.  True, there are a few flecks of blue in it but it is pretty darned white.

As it turns out the first generation Blue line was in fact blue ... really blue.  While the fibers used are the same as the Blue line being produced today, ES55 (aka Spectra 2000), when they first introduced the line they used almost all blue dyed line with just a hint of white.  Soon after they reversed this and made it white with a hint of blue.

I just received a limited amount of this first generation line at a good price and am passing the savings along.  Right now we have 100# line sets in 75 and 100 foot lengths and 140 pound sets that are 75 foot long.  No straps with these but at $20.00 each what do you expect?  This is about 1/2 off our current pricing of comparable line sets.

So ... what's the down side?

First off the come on HUGE card winders.

If you have ever used Blue Line you may have noticed that the dye tends to come off on your hands.  Well, with so much blue in the first generation line I guess this was an issue so they changed their "formula".  I have to add that I have been using Blue line for years and although I do get a liitle dye on my hands (particularly when the line gets damp) by the time I have packed up and gotten back to the van it is gone.  Never had an issue with permanent staining.

If you can handle the downside here is a chance to get some quality line at a bargain price.
